So this is like my one shot at writing today... because it's nap time. So why am I blogging instead of working on my wip??
Because I find it extremely hard to concentrate while rocking my baby with my foot (because the swing ran out of batteries) and listening to my toddler sing songs at the top of her lungs from her bedroom. I've already put big girl down for a nap twice. I'm about to pull my hair out.
I need to just start working on my wip, but I know once I get into the groove someone will need something.
Ag.
Okay, wish me luck, here goes nothing.
My fingers are crossed for you. Perhaps set up small increments of time to get a little bit of writing done instead of sitting down for longer periods. It may be a bit daunting, but you might leave off with a thought ready to go down, so upon return you can jump right back in a few minutes. More like short sprints rather than long distance running.
ReplyDeleteI definitely feel like I'm sprinting anytime I sit down to write, what a good analogy!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally having to brainstorm while in motion...and jot down notes, which I haven't done for a while, but I'm getting into the swing of things...
I didn't get much done today, but every little bit counts. :)
I always have to remind myself after I've just had a baby that this stage doesn't last forever--although it sometimes feels like it! Good luck!
